The Adventure:

Peter brought the mysterious brick to Lola, who was waiting at the Pointed Rabbit Inn, where Peter and Lola live. Then Peter departed on a date. Lola, Shain, Cecil and Janus ate dinner, and wondered if the mirror man would appear again. He did, sparking a fight in the tavern. During the fight, Lola asked the mirror man why he was so angry. “Because you keep summoning me,” was the response. The party defeated the mirror man, and knew they had to find out what to do with the brick. If the brick summoned the mirror man because people were near, it would be hard to find someone to keep it in the Shambles. At last, they decided to ask Kyriellen the fortune teller. But first, Shain visited Fhazark the dwarven smith to pay for and pick up his masterwork dwarven waraxe.

On the way to Kyriellen's, the party noticed the streets were unnaturally quiet—and then they heard an agonizing scream ahead of them. Running forward, they came upon a large wolflike creature feeding on a fallen elf. Then a second of them appeared. As the party girded for battle, the creatures looked at each other and vanished in a flash of reddish light. The elf was dead; they had met him once before in passing. Lola volunteered to watch the body while the rest went to Kyriellen's for answers.

Kryiellen examined the brick, and found symbols in Draconic that she guessed marked it as a warding stone of some sort. The party decided to destroy it; Kyriellen's uncle and bodyguard Julius smashed it to pieces with his hammer. Then the party told Kyriellen of their encounter with the wolflike creatures. Those, the fortune teller explained, were undoubtedly the legendary Teeth of Tallos. Deadly hunters, members of Tallos' army two thousand years ago when he conquered Ardovia, and bent on the slaughter of all Forellians. She was quite disturbed at that news. She didn't know where the dead elf's friends might be hiding in the Shambles, though. The party decided to take the elf's remains to the hidden temple of Cwthane.

At the Hollow Leg the next day, Cecil discovered his extra set of thieves' tools had been stolen, and accused Rekyll of being behind it. Rekyll denied it, and insinuated Cullum might have something to do with it. After that, Shain asked Rekyll where they might find the dead elf's friends. Rekyll suggested trying the temple—where they'd already been. Finally, Igeth started another fight with Janus, this time by insulting his mother and then walking away after Janus slugged him. Finally, they went into the dungeon, to explore the area where they'd found the brick.

In that room, they finally found a secret door that the brick wall had been concealing. That led to a series of rooms, where the party was attacked by two plant zombie things. The zombies put up a stiff fight. During that battle, Cecil wandered off to an adjacent room and was subjected to several pollen sprays from the plants there. He scurried away and explored. Just after the rest of the party defeated the zombies, Cecil returned to the garden room, where a fourth pollen spray caused him to walk straight into the vines of the plant. His companions didn't notice anything awry for several moments. When they realized something was wrong, they saw the plant trying to suck out Cecil's brains. Lola was first to the rescue, but the plant ensnared her as well. Shain and Janus dove in and chopped down the plant, but it was too late for Cecil. Lola was quite dazed. Thankfully, the party had found quite a few Forellian platinum coins on the zombies, so that their efforts were not a total loss.
