The Adventure:

These four characters, a week after their friends' disappearance, head into the dungeon to investigate. Selene, having heard that the others wanted to explore the newly found secret door, directs her companions to that spot. Taking extra care to avoid the pit traps along the way, Selene still manages to fall in by misestimating how far she can jump. The noise attracts yet another 6 orcs from the nearby gauntlet. In a pitched battle, the characters win, but Selene is knocked out temporarily. Selene wonders out loud where all these orcs are coming from--several times the characters have cleared them out, but each time they have returned. Has someone been messing with the crimson pillar and summoning them? No one is sure.

Beyond the secret door, they find a deep room with a rope hanging from it. Avoiding the rope, the characters use their own means to descent. They take the only obvious exit and follow a corridor down to another room with a high ceiling. At the top of the far wall are battlements, and the distinct sounds and smells of boiling oil. Selene wants to go back--though they're not sure where else to go. Peter and Les decide to enter the room regardless. The orcs on the battlements throw weighted nets on the elf and the dwarf! Les tries desperately to cut his way out, and Murgatroyd tried to help free Peter. All the while, the orcs rained javelins down on the party, while other orcs bearing great clubs descended from the battlements.

Murgatroyd slew two of the orcs, but he and the rest of the party were clubbed into unconsciousness, and taken away.

What has happened to the now eight brave heroes, none may say yet…
