My First Historical Army

My new Viking army is still underway. I have primered about 80% of the models so far. I've got 13 bondi spearmen on my table, about halfway painted. Next weekend is The Shield Conference, at which time I would like to actually try a casual game with them. ("Casual" meaning "paint optional" in this case. I'm probably a year away from having a fully painted force.)

To this end, I have used the Warhammer Ancient Battles and Shieldwall rulebooks to put together this army list. This is meant to be a Danish army of the Viking Age, exact century currently unspecified. The list reflects the models I actually have on hand.

Jarl's unit: Jarl (army general, 160 pts), 1 hersir with army standard (100 pts); 19 hirdmen with double-handed axe (16 pts each); 3 berserkers with additional hand weapons (21 pts each); includes one musician (+5 pts). Total: 632 points.

Vikings unit: 24 vikings with double-handed axe (12 pts each); includes musician (+5 pts), leader (+5 pts) and standard bearer (+5 pts). Total: 301 points.

More hirdmen: 1 hersir with additional hand weapons (88 pts); 11 hirdmen (14 pts each), 3 berserkers with double-handed axes (21 pts each); includes musician (+5 pts). Total: 310 points. (Note: I need to buy 5 more hirdmen models to make the whole army 2000 pts.)

Bondi spear unit: 31 bondi with short thrusting spear (7 pts each); includes musician (+5 pts) and leader (+5 pts). Total: 227 points.

Bondi archers 1: 15 bondi with bow (7 pts each); includes one leader (+5 pts). Total: 110 points.

Bondi archers 2: 15 bondi with bow (7 pts each); includes one leader (+5 pts). Total: 110 points.

Bondi foot unit: 32 bondi with hand weapon (7 pts each); includes leader (+5 pts) , musician (+5 pts), and standard bearer (+5 pts.).. Total: 239 points.

Breakdown:
Characters (0-33%): 474 points
Common Warriors (50%+): 1,154 points
Uncommon Warriors (0-33%): 301 points
ARMY TOTAL: 1,929 points.

I'm hoping to get some feedback on this, since it's my first try. Comments on its game or its historical suitability are welcomed.
